In China, Shaolin Temple is the origination of Ch'an practice. This came to be known as Sazen or Zen in Japan.

Meditation is a Shaolin qigong practice and is divided into seated and standing meditation. Both methods are traditionally used to turn the senses inside and to look within and investigate one's mind.

For the Ch'an practice or sitting, please wear loose comfortable clothing.

A Ch'an practice in the mornings benefit the mind and provide clarity for the day.

Daily Ch'an (Zen) Meditation (Beginners welcomed): :

  • Monday to Friday 7:00-8:00am
  • Saturday & Sunday 8:30-9:30pm (Beginners please arrive at 8am for instructions)
  • No fee
